campaign

The purpose of this campaign is to gather and set aside funds to honor and support the new pastor the Lord will send to West Springs Church for a successful transition of leadership for our next generation. We want to express our gratitude and appreciation to the Lord for His faithfulness and provision for our church, and to prepare the way for the new pastor to lead us into the future with vision and confidence. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for us to invest in the kingdom of God and to partner with Him in His mission for our church and our community.

The campaign will run from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, for a total of 18 months. Our goal is to raise $201,000 , which will be used to cover the expenses of the pastoral search process, the relocation and installation of the new pastor, and any other needs that may arise during the transition period. We believe this is a realistic and achievable goal, based on the generosity and commitment of our congregation. We also believe that this is a God-given goal, based on His promise and provision for our church. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).

We are asking each household to prayerfully consider what they can freely and joyfully contribute to this campaign over and above their current giving. We have created a pledge card that will indicate the total amount for the Generation to Generation campaign, which can be paid in monthly, quarterly, or annual installments. The pledge card can be filled out in hardcopy or online, and will be collected on Sundays, June 16, 23, and 30, 2024.

Here is a breakdown of the pledge levels that we are hoping to recieve:

• 4 pledges of $10,000 each

• 8 pledges of $5,000 each

• 10 pledges of $2,500 each

• 40 pledges of $1,600 each (about $20 per week)

• 40 pledges of $800 each (about $10 per week)

Of course, any amount that you can give is welcome and appreciated. We trust that the Lord will move in your hearts and provide for your needs as you give to His work. We also challenge you to stretch you faith and generosity, and to experience the joy and blessing of giving. Remember the words of Jesus: "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, the Elders will present the campaign to the congregation. We will explain the need, the goal, and how we will gather and receive the funds. We will also share testimonies of how the Lord has been working in our church and how we can look forward to His continued guidance and blessing. We will distribute the pledge cards and ask you to return them by Sunday , June 30, 2024. You can also give through a special giving category on PushPay, We will instruct those who write checks or give cash to so indicate on those particular gifts that they are for the "Generation to Generation" campaign.
